Weekender: Supersale Bazaar

Photo c/o Beautynomics.com

Attended last weekend's Supersale Bazaar at World Trade Center. On a from-duty status, my groupmates (Jessa, Jamie and Abby), Tel and I headed straight to WTC.

Nyx Round lipstick in Pandora

It was probably because I was on a from-duty status on a GS ward rotation that I was tired and sleepy so, I wasn't able to take pictures. Also, although I have quite some cash stash, I wasn't able to shop for a lot of items.
I am, however, in love with the stuff I was able to buy...like that Nyx Round lipstick in Pandora which is a deep purple shade. It also has more red in it than blue. I also have a new iPhone case, which I just so love (not in photos, though). I also bought this Peter Pan detachable collar with ribbon closure from Miss Sartorial.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

This is what I love about this country--the moment All Saints/Souls Day ends, Christmas season begins! Most, if not all, of the the streets and malls in Manila are decorated with all these pretty, pretty lights.

I am looking at you!

I am in need of a new laptop...or probably a tablet PC. Reason 1: I am too close of getting a slipped disk carrying an ~2-3kilos of laptop every fucking day. Reason 2: My laptop is more or less 4 years old now. Time to retire laptop. Hence, it is reasonable to get me a NEW laptop.

Acer Iconia W500
A tablet that has the accessibility (and entertainment features?) of an iPad and any other tablets and productivity of a notebook and netbook. I haven't seen its specs, though, but from what I read from the reviews, this baby is of Windows 7 OS, AMD T-50 of AMD Fusion, and it works with certain games such as Civilization! It also has a USB port and an attachable keyboard. IDK if the Windows 7 OS is a thumbs up thing for this tablet, though. From what I heard and read, Windows 7 is such a horrendous thing for tablets. I haven't tried this tablet yet. It's not as popular as iPad2, but I am hoping it's cheaper.

Macbook Air
It's a Mac. It's thin as 'air'. It's light. Should I say more? It's a bit pricey, though.

PS This is not a review/critique. Just a list of want/s.

Of window shopping and eating a lot

Went to East Ave. Medical Center yesterday. That familiar appalling stench, which is reminiscent of the last, last month's crazy OBGyne rotation. After we had our A&A's signed, we headed straight to Trinoma! A day of freedom from stress and a very rainy one.

A Very Belated Birthday Wishlist

Greetings from the OBGyne JI lungga! I am on a post-duty status, but I still have to stay here until 5 pm today. The good thing is I am 'untouchable'. I do not need to do JI chores, hence this blog post.
I am perfectly aware that my birthday was 2 weeks ago, but my life is boring, thus I am posting a wishlist.

I am eyeing this 13-in MacBook Air or...

...this Acer TravelMate TimelineX

This one is bordering from want and need. At present, I have this Acer TravelMate 6292 laptop, which I have been using for ~4-5 years now. It's still in its tip-top shape, but getting a new one seems delish :) My parents aren't saying yes to this idea, yet. Hihi.

Dolce & Gabbana Snowboard watch
This also borders want and need. Heh. But I already talked to my parents about it and mom said 'we'll see' which could be interpreted to a yes. I just hope she finds this watch from Dolce&Gabbana or at least something that looks like it.

MAC Candy Yum Yum lipstick from Quite Cute collection
I've been eyeing this MAC's Candy Yum Yum lipstick from their Quite Cute collection. It's already sold out in the online store while I still couldn't find this from the MAC stores here in Manila. Already talked to boyfriend about this <3 I am also thinking of buying MAC's Peachykeen blush, probably as a gift to self.
Zara TRF Doctor Bag

Another probable gift to self is this bag unless somebody with a generous heart would buy me this. I am thinking of buying this one when I have extra money from my meager allowance.

Airconditioned bus ride to sanity

I have very few days left to spend in EAMC. Tomorrow will be last duty at EAMC, which is probably a good thing because duties at EAMC have been very tiring. But I hate to admit but I will still miss it. We had our 'grand duty' earlier during our pre-duty at the OPD with my residents and senior interns. We were filled with food--I don't mind gaining a few pounds coz I have already lost a lot.

After OPD, I went to SM Megamall to detox with some of my favorite people--Jessa, Tel and Kenji. Jessa was supposed to be the one I see more often, but that don't really happen as I only get to see her when I endorse my patients to her. Also today, I get to see Maja! She visited me at the OPD because she was at the Heart Center with her dad awhile ago. This has been a special Alphan day for me!

So to get myself to Megamall, I took on my commuter skills. I don't bring my car since I am too afraid that I might fall asleep while driving. I usually take a cab when going to EAMC from home and vice versa. For my trip to Megamall, I decided to take an airconditioned bus. The bus wasn't so bad although EDSA had been jampacked, thanks to rush hour. And the great thing is I only spent Php 16 instead of Php 100++ if I took a cab.

Video on Deck: The Tourist. Probably a pirated DVD of the movie.

Php 16.00 from East Ave. to Megamall.
So at Megamall, you probably know where I met up with Jessa and Tel. Forever 21. They will be having a sale tomorrow, by the way. I wasn't supposed to buy anything from that store but I couldn't resist it when I saw this pair of earrings!

It's green and peacock!
I also bought this pair of specs, but I still have to change its lenses. I need prescription lenses, y'know.

After F21, we had dinner at Amici. I love dining out with these people. Meanwhile, we had pizza and pasta and...gelato!

What I ate: Puttanesca in Spinach Linguini

What I ate: Mint gelato with chocolate

The After-exam and SM finds and hauls

Apparently, BlogBooster 'accidentally' posted these pictures when my phone suddenly lost power while uploading. So what are these pictures all about? Well, it is already our well-deserved vacation. The 2-straight weeks of brain-draining exams are over; hence, I can catch up on my sleeping and relax a bit... or maybe, not yet. I still have to do chores like:

  • Organizing my transes. They are everywhere!
  • Clean the house. My flat is in unutterable mess--much like a crime scene. Tsk.
  • Do the laundry. Or I go commando.
Meanwhile, here are the photos again, if you have seen them awhile ago. These are taken yesterday after our last exam for finals.

Shopaholic Sisters

My feet still hurt from all that walking!

Awhile ago today, two of my favorite girls/sisters--Tel and Jes--went on a shopping spree at Shang and Megamall.  We were dismissed earlier than the usual so we decided to go shopping for our sorority's event on Saturday. Tel and I were on our quest to find accessories while Jes was looking for that perfect little black dress. I am sooo happy that I was able to find just what I needed--except for a connector ring.

At Forever 21. Yes, I went there in my uniform.

With my sis and shopping buddy Tel! I don't have a picture with Jessa, though.
I also look retarded LOL.
I won't show whatever it is that is inside the bags, yet. But I will enumerate:
In Accessorize:  Clutch bag, which I got on a sale price of Php495 (~$10)
In RAF: Belt
In The Ramp, Crossings: Necklace
In Forever21: Hoop earrings (they don't have connector rings huhucry)
We saw Laureen Uy of Break My Style (one of the blogs I frequent) in The Ramp in Shang. Then when we went home, the ever-gorgeous Anne Curtis was in our condo for a movie shoot!
I am such a Fan Girl!
