Surprise, surprise!

Friday last week (02/03/12) we threw a surprise birthday party for our fraternity brother whom we fondly call 'dad', Dr. Romeo Encanto at Casa Francesco/Bronx. Dr. Encanto, whom I shall refer to as 'dad' throughout this post, has been very supportive of our fraternity and sorority and has, indeed, played being the dad of this brotherhood and sisterhood. Dad is a surgeon and has been one of my surgery preceptors in 3rd year.

As to what I wore, I had that skirt for ages. That was the skirt I wore during an after-party for my junior prom in high school. Hoho! And it still fits me perfectly. And those shoes, I bought them at PeopleArePeople in my 3rd year in college but never got the chance to wear it until this party.

A Very Belated Birthday Wishlist

Greetings from the OBGyne JI lungga! I am on a post-duty status, but I still have to stay here until 5 pm today. The good thing is I am 'untouchable'. I do not need to do JI chores, hence this blog post.
I am perfectly aware that my birthday was 2 weeks ago, but my life is boring, thus I am posting a wishlist.

This one is bordering from want and need. At present, I have this Acer TravelMate 6292 laptop, which I have been using for ~4-5 years now. It's still in its tip-top shape, but getting a new one seems delish :) My parents aren't saying yes to this idea, yet. Hihi.

Dolce & Gabbana Snowboard watch

This also borders want and need. Heh. But I already talked to my parents about it and mom said 'we'll see' which could be interpreted to a yes. I just hope she finds this watch from Dolce&Gabbana or at least something that looks like it.

MAC Candy Yum Yum lipstick from Quite Cute collection

I've been eyeing this MAC's Candy Yum Yum lipstick from their Quite Cute collection. It's already sold out in the online store while I still couldn't find this from the MAC stores here in Manila. Already talked to boyfriend about this <3 I am also thinking of buying MAC's Peachykeen blush, probably as a gift to self.

Zara TRF Doctor Bag

Another probable gift to self is this bag unless somebody with a generous heart would buy me this. I am thinking of buying this one when I have extra money from my meager allowance.

I celebrated my 24th birthday last April 23, Saturday--a Black Saturday. It wasn't the best birthday I ever had. In college when I took up summer classes, I celebrate my birthday with my friends and then when my boyfriend and I became a couple, I celebrate it with him. The previous years I was home in Sharjah I spent it with family then with some high school friends. This year, I didn't get any parties nor extra special dinner. I was on duty.
It wasn't the worst of all my birthdays, either. It was more of...um...different. I get to assist in giving birth little babies that I have the same birthday!
But for a moment there, I started questioning myself what the heck I was doing there sleepless and tired on my birthday. It was the path I chose to follow.

For my birthday, I decided to wear that green scrub suit top with circles and  glittery blings!

My boyfriend left for the US earlier today for his elective classes for med school. I'm sad 'coz he won't be here. This time it was him who got out of the country on a summer when during the past years it was I since I spend vacation in Sharjah.
Also earlier today, I met up with my friend and college thesis partner Boj. He went to my place here in Mezza then we went south to MOA!
