Nolita (North of Little Italy)

After checking out the I'm Shoe in Love bazaar at the NBC Tent (which by the way had really cute shoes to sell, but none were what I needed), my mom and I went to check out Nolita (North of Little Italy) at BGC Central for a quick afternoon snack.

Nolita's fuss-free, laid-back ambiance is not for the primadonna. You have to fall in line to order and pay your pizza and other grub. Menu's at that chalkboard, which reminded me of Baguio City's Pizza Volante.

How creative! Table lamps were used as wall decorations.

Food is good great. But pricey--you have to shed about Php500/person. Meh. Pizzas were priced Php160-250 per big slice. And I mean really BIG slice of pizza.

My mom's Cheeseburger pizza
My Spinach & Artichoke pizza
What I like about their pizza is the thin, chewy crust--New York pizza it is! You may want to use a fork and table knife as the crust tends to get a bit soggy. I know I just broke the rule: to eat with your hands.

Honey Garlic Buffalo Wings with yogurt dip
This I ate with my hands. I like that the wings weren't too spicy.

Looking forward to eat here again!

New Zealand Natural

I don't care if the weather's this cold and hazy. This new ice cream joint, which isn't Italian gellato nor Korean ice cream deserves a blogpost!

We tried this New Zealand Natural Premium ice cream. They have a stall at Robinson's Manila, 2nd floor of Pedro Gil wing. The ice cream is really good as it is made of dairy cream from NZ cows. They also offer a wide range of really yummy flavors.

What we tried: Mint Choc Kisses + Hokey Pokey.

Darling it's better down where it's wetter!

Up on the shore, they work all day. Out in the sun, they slave away.

So during one of the free days (from hospital), my boyfriend and I had one walk in the park--Manila Ocean Park.

Dog Days are Over

Or maybe not...

I've already survived a month of my post-graduate internship--11 months to go! And obviously, this blogpost is a month late and is past the graduation season. (Heck, it's even back to school season butwhocares)

Hello. I am Hayzle A. Mallari, M.D.
This is the 5th graduation of my life. My med school graduation was held on the 22nd of April, which is the day before my birthday and is (one of) the best birthday gifts I could ever receive! I am beyond words happy and I will fail to articulate how I felt that day.

Food Coma in May

Recent events in April had caused my appetite to dwindle down plus the fact that I knew I had to shed some pounds for the beach trips. My usual voracious appetite died down in April so that I can only take in water... and coffee, black coffee. T'was a bit depressing and disappointing, I tell ya.

Come May that things were a bit better and this appetite is back with a vengeance; hence, this blogpost of recent gastronomic adventures around the Metro.
